RFI: frusemide oral liquid from injection (or tablet?)(5)

Dear Sagwa

I think Boruett has given most info. Just to emphasize that you can get Frusemise syrup. The one available in Kenya is manufactured by Rosemont, UK, 20mg/5ml in a pack size of 150ml. Sugar free with a bit of propylene glycol.

In an emergency just crash a tablet and suspend in a small amount of water shake thoroughly and measure out a portion.

Robert added later:

I now gather the patient is a neonate. In which case you may dilute the injection with sterile water ad give orally. The mixture can go for 7 days but will need to be maintained at PH 8 - 9 using sodium hydroxide.
