E-DRUG: RFI: paracetamol AND ibuprofen in children? (5)
-------------------------------------------------------

The advantage of using paracetamol with ibuprofen is only to gain greater
pain control if either drug by itself is insufficient and the dose cannot be
increased without toxic effects. Since the two drugs have different side
effect profiles and they do not appear to interact otherwise, the two
together can be advantageous, especially in circumstances where using other,
stronger, analgesics is contraindicated for clinical or legal reasons (e.g.
use of codeine or other opiates)
