E-DRUG: Robust research at lower prices
--------------------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
Here is the link to the 6-page article that used the data and methods
developed to show how America has come to dominate pharmaceutical research
(because of its "free markets" which allow corporate-controlled prices twice as high as Europe's) and showed that if you compare dollar for dollar, proportionately more global and first-in-class new chemicals were discovered in Europe. This has been picked up around the world, with comments about how high prices in the US reward research on me-too drugs and reward high costs.
Today the Lancet wrote an editorial.
