[e-drug] selfmedication policies, guidelines, EDL? (cont'd)

E-drug: selfmedication policies, guidelines, EDL? (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know of no good previous work on this question so I will write a
guideline for self medication on the spot to stimulate discussion.

If you have diarrhoea then use an oral dehydration solution.

If you have mild pain and are aged under 19 then use paracetamol.

If you have mild pain and are aged over 18 then use paracetamol
or aspirin.

Otherwise do not self medicate because most other drugs are not
value for money or require a doctor to help you to use them
appropriately.

Does anybody want to suggest (and justify) any changes to the
above?

regards,

Peter
