E-drug: Storage of drugs matters (cont'd)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have noted the commentary has generally expressed a need for
the storage of drugs throughout the supply chain to be of sufficient
standard to ensure the quality of the drugs is not comprimised.
While this forum is primarily focussed on essential drugs, I would
be very interested to be notified of any standards that exist
anywhere in the world for maintaining the quality of drugs
throughout the logistics and wholesale systems for all drug
distribution. I am aware of the EC "Guidelines on Good Distribution
Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use" and the UK MCA
"Recommendations on the Control and Monitoring of Storage and
Transportation Temperatures of Medicinal Products".
I would appreciate being advised of all other standards or guidelines
that might exist elsewhere.
