E-DRUG: Supply Chain Transformation Initiatives by PSA in South East Asia & Pacific
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear E-Drug Members,

In the last 4 years, PSA has been working in several countries in Africa and the Middle East to address Supply Chain bottlenecks and transform Health Supply Chain for the better. Our aim is to Professionalize Health and Humanitarian Supply Chains, especially in LMIC context, to increase efficiency by developing Supply Chain Capacity.

PSA is expanding and has opened a South East, Central Asia and Pacific office in New Delhi, India. From our new office in New Delhi, we will support similar initiatives in the region. We look forward to working with you from this location. Please, visit www.pamsteele.co.uk for more information or contact our local staff.

By way of introduction, PSA is organizing an Open Training in Bangkok (Thailand) from 30th October to 3rd November on Health Supply Chain Management.
The course structure is based on the 6 + 1 rights of a health supply chain: the right goods, the right quantity, the right cost, the right condition, the right place, the right time, and the right interventions. PSA's training focuses on the higher order skills required by supply chain managers to understand the end-to-end requirements for a sustainable health supply chain, rather than a narrow focus on individual activities. It is, therefore, important for everyone involved in supply chain management to have a demonstrable competence in each function.

Our courses in Africa and Europe have been attended by officials from UN organizations (UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO, UNOPS, UNRWA etc.), Donor-led programmes (USAID, Chemonics GHSC, DfID etc.), Ministries of Health, Local and International NGOs, who are involved in procurement, health programmes, distribution, warehousing, information systems or medicine dispensing, and want to understand Supply Chain as a whole.
