--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Moderator's comment: E-drug welcomes discussion. The forum was established to obtain, share and discuss current information on essential drugs, policy, program activities, education and training. Messages need to be professional - not personal - and contribute to discussion rather than just express agreement or not. Members will recall lengthy discussions on topics ranging from rational use, policy, economics and financing, supply and marketing, to legislation and regulation, quality assurance and safety. Members also use E-DRUG to announce and learn of upcoming conferences or courses in their field. We welcome contributions on this topic. BS}
Dear E-drug members
I clicked on this and went in to read it, thinking this was promising. The
idea is very appealing - especially the activism component
My comment on the psychotropic section of The Wise List in English would be
a sequence of profanities. Its what you would expect when people make
selections based on ghostwritten articles whose data is sequestered - a
document almost completely captured by marketing departments.
Its a list not of which drugs are best but which marketing departments have
been best.
I would be interested to hear anyone else's view for the cardiology,
respiratory and other all other sections that have a heavy preponderance of
on-patent drugs
I realize E-Drug is not supposed to be a discussion forum - I will post the
document on RxISK.org for anyone who wants to comment.
The activism component of this idea is wonderful but its disturbing to
think it might be captured so readily by company marketing.
