E-drug: Training for the Developing World: Can't WHO help? (cont)
---------------------------------------------
Dear All,
First it would be wise to figure out what exactly are the needs and
priorities. They obviously are different for pharmacists and medical
doctors.
Some of the needs can be satisfied with making the existing information more
available via different strategies like website and CDs etc but also more
proactive approach might be of value. It is amazing that many university
teachers just DO NOT KNOW what we have available. The others consider it in
a way as low standard applicable only for very poor countries ...
We might consider trying to get more in touch with University Faculties &
teachers in developing countries. It is clear that the tremendous reseources
wasted to create publicationd and documents are not balanced by actions
reaching out the countries. Can we consider organisining in the
regions/subregions a meeting with Deans of Pharmacy and Medical Schools?
This could give better ideas how to proceed.
