The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS), Namibia, would like
to inform you that it currently has several vacancies for Pharmacists,
which it is looking to fill urgently. The Pharmaceutical Services
provided by the MoHSS is suffering badly due to shortage of Pharmacists.

The following posts need to be filled urgently:

Medical Stores
Oshakati Regional Medical Stores - Pharmacist
Rundu Regional Medical Stores Pharmacist

Hospital Based
Windhoek Central Hospital - Pharmacist (4 posts)
Katutura State hospital, Windhoek Pharmacist (4 posts)
Oshakati Referral Hospital - Pharmacist (3 posts)
Otjiwarongo Hospital - Pharmacist

Regional Pharmacists
Omusati Regional Pharmacist
Ohangwena Regional Pharmacist
Oshana Regional Pharmacist
Caprivi Regional Pharmacist
Kavango Regional Pharmacist

National Level
Medicines Inspectorate - Pharmacist
Medicines Registration - Pharmacist

All these posts are entry-level posts, but experience in the relevant
area is preferred, especially for the Medical Stores and Regional posts.
Experience in running a drug information service is also preferable for
one of the Windhoek Central Hospital posts.

The Pharmacist salary scale is N$ 75,015 - N$ 89,325 pa, depending on
experience, with a fixed overtime allowance of N$ 40,058 pa.
N.B. N$ 1.00 SA Rand 1.00
Current rate of exchange US$ 1.00 N$ 7.00
All pharmacists must register with the Namibian Pharmacy Board before
assumption of duty.

The successful candidates will be employed on a two-year contract. On
completion of this contract a 25% gratuity is paid (in lieu of pension).
Other benefits include 25 working days annual leave pa, membership in
the Government Medical Aid Scheme and an allowance for transfer of
belongings from and to place of recruitment to duty station at start and
end of contract.
