The Pharmaceutical Institute of the University of Tuebingen, Germany,
offers a position as scientific employee (TV-L 13, part-time 75%) in the
field of Pharmaceutical Challenges in Development Cooperation for
initially two years. It is intended to raise extramural funds which will
allow a full-time contract and an extension of the employment with the
goal of a Habilitation or a public advertisement for an assistant professor position.
The successful candidate will contribute in research and teaching to the
field "Pharmaceutical Challenges in Development Cooperation" at the
University of Tuebingen (see www.pharmbiol.uni-tuebingen.de/ak-heide).
This will include participation in research projects on substandard and
falsified medicines in sub-Saharan Africa, the acquisition and
implementation of new extramurally funded projects in the above
mentioned field, co-coordination of the course 'Pharmacy in Development
Cooperation and Disaster Relief' offered by the University of Tuebingen,
co-coordination of the DAAD-funded university cooperation of the
Pharmaceutical Institutes of Tuebingen and of Malawi, and further tasks
in research, teaching and administration.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in pharmacy or a
related science, and a PhD. Experience in development cooperation, solid
competence in pharmaceutical analysis, and very good knowledge of German
and English are desirable.

Employment is part-time (75%) and the initial contract is limited to two
years. We offer employment with a salary and social benefits based on
the collective agreement for public service employees in the academic
and science sector, TV-L 13.
