[e-drug] What are potential problems with FDCs?

E-DRUG: What are potential problems with FDCs?
----------------------------------------------

Could someone explain in simple terms for a layman why one pill with three
drugs in it might behave differently from three pills taken together? What
are the risks we are said to be taking?

Thanks

Chris

E-DRUG: What are potential problems with FDCs? (4)
--------------------------------------------------

Dear Chris,

1. One tablet instead of 3 separate tablets improve in term of compliance
and more convenience.

2. This one table would produce the same effect as taking 3 tablets(with
assumption no drug interaction ).

3. The disadvantages is if there is present of drug adverse effect cause by
that one tablet, it is difficult to do dose or regimen adjustment .
