E-drug: WHO Expert Committee on selection of essential medicines
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Please repair the URLs listed! HH]
The Expert committee of the WHO on Selection of essential
Medicines will hold its next meeting on March 31st to April 3rd.
They have posted many interesting materials on their web site and
are still welcoming comments. The best way to get to the agenda
which includes the discussion items is via the URLs:

Together with Trenda Waning, Tulip Schneider and I have with
WHO support and assistance put together a historical analysis of
the WHO Model list and a comparative analysis of 25 country EDLs.
We have written a report which highlights which drugs are on the
WHO list and are not on any or many of the 25 country lists and
which drugs are on many country lists but are not on the WHO
Model lists. I have posted the report the summary tables in word
and the large Excel tables on my web site. The URL is

I would encourage E-Druggers to look at these two sites and send
in comments to the committee.
