Dear e-druggers,

  The next WHO Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential
Medicines will meet from 31 March - 3 April 2003 in Geneva. The Draft
Agenda and Procedures are posted on the WHO/EDM web site
www.who.int/medicines (in the box "Latest"), the exact location is

Important components of the agenda are:
* Applications for addition of ibuprofen paediatric formulation,
valaciclovir, miconazole buccal tablet, azithromycin, insulin semi-lente,
misoprostol, amodiaquine (review of safety)
* Application for change of formula of ORS
* Application to delete nonoxinol
* Fast-track deletion of certain items
* Review of all square boxes
* Review of all core/complementary listings

In the course of the next few weeks more applications, comments and other
meeting documents will be posted on the web site. Documents are accessible
by clicking on the relevant Draft Agenda item, which can be found on
http://www.who.int/medicines/organization/par/edl/expcom13/expcom03agenda.shtml.
