E-DRUG: WHO's role in trade agreements-preferential prices (cont'd)

E-drug: WHO's role in trade agreements-preferential prices (cont'd)
---------------------------------------------

Dear e-druggers,

I would like to react to some of Mohga's concern "... preferential
prices are promoted by WHO and industry. At first glance it looks like
the rich subsidised the poor". One can name it also "burden sharing".
Equity means paying more from rich. The real problem is price for
consumers. I would be happy if western companies would sell their
drugs 90% cheaper in poorer countries. Where and when they would
not do it, compulsory licensing could be the answer.
