E-DRUG: Yellow Book in Spanish and French

E-DRUG: Yellow Book in Spanish and French
-----------------------------------------

Unfortunately MSH does not have any more distribution copies of the
French or Spanish versions of the first edition of Managing Drug
Supply.

MSH does have an agreement to collaborate with the University Carlos
III in Madrid to produce a Spanish version of the second edition. We
have partial funding secured from USAID and WHO, with publication and
sales to be managed by PAHO/PAHEF. Unfortunately, we do not yet have
sufficient funding for the entire translation effort, so it is not
clear when the translation will be completed, but hopefully it will
happen sometime in the coming year.

We had hoped to produce a French version as well, but that has not
progressed at all - any suggestions as to institutions/agencies with
the interest and capacity to manage the translation, and ideas
concerning potential sources of funding would be appreciated.

E-druggers can access Kumarian Press to order the English version of
Managing Drug Supply through the MSH web site at:
http://www.msh.org/publications/index.html

At this site you can also order other MSH publications (many of which
are free to requesters from developing countries).

Readers may also be interested in obtaining copies of various "tools",
developed by MSH and other agencies, that are useful in assessing and
managing drug supply systems. Information about the tools, and in
some cases downloads, are available at: http://erc.msh.org/

[Thanks, Jim, for the update on the yellow book translation. Let's hope that the
spanish version arrives in the next Millennium...
However, it looks like that the French Cooperation, ReMeD, Medecins sans
Frontieres, European Union, WHO/OMS, WHO/AFRO and other francophone organisations
should be lobbied by E-drug and E-med (our french sister conference) to
contribute to the translation of this important standard textbook from english
into french... WB]
