Under the University of Geneva project funded by the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC), on improving access to noncommunicable diseases health products, more particularly focused on access to diabetes products, we developed the factsheet below on “Key considerations for inter-country pooled procurement”
This document was developed at the attention of policymakers at national and regional level, government officials, procurement officials, and others involved in or considering setting up and operating pooled procurement mechanisms in inter-country settings.
It benefited from the inputs from experts having hands on experience on regional pooled procurement initiatives.
We hope this document could inform new pooled procurement initiatives under development, more particularly on the African continent.
