Re: E-DRUG: Drug policy document (contd.)
----------------------------------------
Dear Sam Wagner,
The WHO's Action Programme on Essential Drugs (DAP) has a
global collection of National Drug Policy (NDP) documents.
For obvious reasons I can't send you copies of all of these
but I will send you two working DAP documents: one giving a
listing of data from 7l countries that are in various stages
of development of NDP and describing the status of the policy;
the other giving a per cent analysis of components outlined in
the WHO Guidelines for Developing National Drug Policies and
included in actual NDP documents. I am also sending you a
listing we recently made of NDPs which include drug promotion
and reference to WHO's or national ethical criteria for
medicinal drug promotion.
Are you aware of the latest DAP report entitled Comparative
analysis of National Drug Policies which describes a
comparative analysis of NDPs in l2 countries using the DAP
indicators? I would be glad to send you a copy of this also if
you do not have it.
