2550 young Nigerian doctors unemployed (2)
------------------------------------------

DEAR PRESIDENT OBASSANJO

There is no doubt that you are capable to take on the challenges that
are facing your country right now. You are a great inspiration to many
young professionals especially those of us from the African continent.

I am greatly disturbed by the problems facing my fellow young col-
leagues from your country who are unable to be employed because of hav-
ing no chance to get the mandatory one-year internship clinical experi-
ence. It's a shame for a country to spend millions of Dollars on train-
ing Doctors just to frustrate them when they are bubbling with fresh
energy and enthusiasm from medical college. Its also ridiculous since
your country still has a low Doctor- patient ratio. Moreover your
health indicators clearly show more un-met health needs.

I hope your visionary leadership will come to the rescue of this young
Brains that need to be nurtured and not to be shown how to plant seeds
of hatred.
