We are glad to inform you that our journal African Journal of
Reproductive Health (AJRH) has done it again!
On the Tuesday 14th of June 2005 on page 9 in the Punch Newspa-
per of Nigeria, it was reported that based on entry of all
scholarly journals in Nigeria for assessment by the NATIONAL
UNIVERSITIES COMMISSION (NUC), who assess journals in Nigeria
published by both public and private institutions and other bod-
ies.
It was reported that "The best-ranked journal is African Journal
of Reproductive Health published by a Non-governmental organiza-
tion, the Women's Health and Action Research Centre, Benin
City". It was reported that African Journal of Reproductive
Health was the best-ranked Nigeria journal that met Interna-
tional Standard out of the 138 journals submitted for assess-
ment.
African Journal of Reproductive Health has a strong and growing
penetration within the African continent and beyond, also AJRH
is the foremost African journal devoted EXCLUSIVELY to reproduc-
tive health and closely related subjects. It provides much-
needed timely information on reproductive health. It is an in-
