African Journal of Reproductive Health
La Revue Africaine de la Sante Reproductive
I am pleased to introduce to you the African Journal of Reproductive
Health. It is a multi-disciplinary and international journal that pub-
lishes original research, comprehensive review articles, short reports,
and commentaries on reproductive health in Africa. The journal strives
to provide a forum for African authors, as well as others working in
Africa, to share findings on all aspects of reproductive health, and to
disseminate innovations, relevant and useful information on reproduc-
tive health throughout the continent.
The journal is published by the Women's Health and Action Research Cen-
tre (WHARC), a non-governmental organisation which conducts multidisci-
plinary and collaborative research, advocacy, and training on issues
relating to the reproductive health of women.
The centre is based in Benin City, Edo State of Nigeria. It receives
support and funding from the Ford Foundation. The centre also receives
technical co-operation from the Harvard School of Public Health in Bos-
ton, Massachusetts, USA, and the Medical School, University of Heidel-
berg, Germany.
Moreover, the journal is open for subscription by various organisa-
tions, institutes, professionals and private individuals at the rates
indicated on the subscription order form.
