Dear All,
The Centre for African Family Studies (CAFS) is pleased to announce its 2009 International Courses. CAFS will run 8 courses focusing on Advocacy; Behaviour Change Communication; Leadership & Management; Knowledge Management; Resource Mobilisation & Proposal Writing; Monitoring and Evaluation; Programme Development and Management; and Gender and Empowerment.
CAFS courses are designed to equip trainees with practical skills to design, develop, supervise, and manage programmes to address Africa's current health and development challenges. The training approach is flexible and incorporates highly participatory and experiential training methods that enable participants to immediately transfer their new skills into their work environment. As part of the training, trainees are guided to develop action plans that seek to operationalise the skills learned in the course.
In addition to offering the listed courses as international courses, CAFS can also adapt, customize and offer any of these courses at programme, organization or country level on request. The process of customization ensures that unique client needs (in terms of content and duration) are addressed.
Please email us at courses@cafs.org if you would like a copy of our course catalogue . We hope that you will be interested in our programmes. Kindly share this information and material with other individuals, government departments, organisations and networks that you feel might benefit from any of these courses or other CAFS services.
We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you or your colleagues in our courses.
