Dear Friend of Unite For Sight,
Our partner Ghanaian doctors recently had the honor of meeting Cecilia, a 65-year old woman who was blind in both eyes for more than a decade. She was led to Crystal Eye Clinic's village outreach by a young girl who had seen Cecilia on the street begging, which Cecilia said was necessary in order to survive. The young girl was on her own way to the eye care outreach in order to seek treatment for her eye condition. Along the way, she passed Cecilia in the street, came to know that Cecilia was blind, and decided to bring Cecilia to receive eye care at the village outreach as well. This young girl made a truly incredible impact on Cecilia's life.
Cecilia had been a farmer, is a widow, and has no children. She started losing her sight gradually, until she was no longer able to see and could not work on her farm. Cecilia had never sought eye care and did not realize that her sight could be restored. At this village outreach in Krobo Odumase, Crystal Eye Clinic's eye doctor examined and diagnosed Cecilia with bilateral cataracts, and she was thrilled that she would be able to have a Unite For Sight-sponsored sight-restoring cataract surgery. <http://www.uniteforsight.org/give>
One month after her vision was restored, Crystal Eye Clinic's team met a completely changed Cecilia. She was beaming with smiles, neatly dressed, and came in the company of three other family members who wanted to thank Crystal Eye Clinic's eye doctors for their wonderful work to restore Cecilia's sight. She is now leading a happy life and able to work on the farm again.
Thousands of families have similar stories. Blindness impacts the patients themselves, as well as their families and their communities. Your year-end donation will enable Unite For Sight to provide essential sight-restoring eye care in 2016 for more patients like Cecilia.
Please make a tax-deductible end-of-year gift <http://www.uniteforsight.org/give> to Unite For Sight now.

Your donation <http://www.uniteforsight.org/give> will promptly be used within one month to provide eye care to patients in Ghana, Honduras, and India, who are otherwise unable to access or afford care. Upon request, for those who donate at least $100 in December, we will also provide you with the personalized stories about the patients who you directly support.
