Welcome to the hiv-law mailing list!
Here's the general information for the list you've subscribed to, in
case you don't already have it:
HIV-LAW: The AIDS/HIV Legal Advocacy Discussion List
DESCRIPTION: HIV-LAW is an Internet discussion list for attorneys and
other advocates. The purpose of this list is to exchange information
of interest to persons involved in HIV client services and HIV law
and public policy advocacy.
The list subscribers generate the content of this list by posting in-
quiries, case summaries and analysis, comments, announcements, or
other items of professional interest to the other list subscribers.
HIV-LAW is NOT a newsletter from an HIV legal service organisation.
It is NOT intended for the direct provision of legal advice or serv-
ices to clients.
This is a closed list. All subscribers must be approved by the main-
tainers, and only subscribers to the list can post messages to it.
Accordingly, if you join this list, you will NOT receive questions on
legal issues or requests for services from members of the general
public.
You may subscribe to either of two lists: HIV-Law or HIV-Law-Digest.
The digest (collection) of the day's messages will go out at mid-
night.
To subscribe to the list, send a message to:
HIV-Law-Approval@Web-Depot.COM
Your message should explain who you are, the nature of the legal or
advocacy services you provide, and your location. After your sub-
scription request is approved, you will receive a confirmation mes-
sage. The confirmation message will explain, among other things, how
to unsubscribe to the list, should you wish to do so in the future.
Both organizations and individuals may subscribe. Organizational sub-
scribers, however, should identify a contact person.
To send mail to folks on the list, just send mail to:
HIV-Law@Web-Depot.COM
If you want to post anonymously, you can send mail to:
Anonymous-HIV-Law@Web-Depot.COM
