------------------------------------------------------------
Boston University's Center for International Health is pleased to an-
nounce its Fall Certificate Course: ECONOMICS & FINANCING OF HEALTH
CARE IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. This 12-week course explores current con-
cepts in health financing and focuses on practical methods for finan-
cial management of health programs, as well as economic evaluation of
health policy and program options.
Participants are trained to utilise personal computers in solving com-
plex finance and management problems, and upon completion of the
course, are able to plan and manage financial operations in small, me-
dium and large organisations. Additionally, participants in the course
typically represent between 10 to 20 different countries, allowing for
a rich exchange of knowledge and expertise rarely found in one room.
For those considering a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, the
course provides 33% of the credits required at a significantly reduced
tuition rate. Tuition for the course is US$ 7,400. A limited number of
partial scholarships available for qualified applicants.
