Family Health International (FHI) is dedicated to improving
lives, knowledge, and understanding worldwide through a highly
diversified program of research, education, and services in
HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, reproductive health,
and infectious diseases. We are seeking qualified candidates for
the following positions:

Senior Technical Officer, Palliative and CHBC (Arlington, VA)

Oversees development and implementation of the Institute's tech-
nical strategy for palliative care and Community and Home-based
Care. Provides technical assistance to country programs and im-
plementing partners to ensure technical soundness of palliative
care and CHBC. M.D., MPH or Nursing degree with equivalent ex-
perience in public health or the social sciences; and 5-7 years
experience in health and social support programs in developing
countries. Must have experience in CHBC or palliative care for
HIV/AIDS. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and
abilities listed above. Fluency in French is an asset.

Country Director, ROADS Project (Burundi)

To direct the implementation of the FHI Institute of HIV/AIDS
programs in Burundi. Main responsibilities include: Serve as the
FHI representative with relevant private and public agencies,
organizations, National AIDS Control Program, USAID, and other
donors regarding Burundi programs and activities; Manage the de-
velopment of country workplans/proposals and budgets, including
periodic review and revision; Manage the design of subproject
activities with implementing partners; Identify and develop re-
source development opportunities for FHI in Burundi; and Perform
other duties as assigned by the Director, ROADS Project. MS/MA
in public health or related field and 7-9 years experience with
international development programs; or PhD/MD and 5-7 years ex-
perience with international development programs. Requires 3-5
years of supervisory experience. Overseas field experience re-
quired. Fluency in oral and written French/English required.

Associate Director, Indonesia

Under direction of the Deputy Director, provides technical and
programmatic expertise and leadership to Jakarta and province-
based technical and program offices, units and staff. Main re-
sponsibilities include: Develop plans for and lead implementa-
tion of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment interventions;
Facilitate exchange of technical and programmatic information
among and between Jakarta-based and province-based technical and
program staff; Facilitate and support technical and programmatic
capacity building of Jakarta and provincial offices and staff;
Participate in development and lead implementation of program
quality assurance and continuous improvement mechanisms; Perform
other related duties as assigned. MS/MA in public health or re-
lated field and 5-7 years relevant experience with HIV/AIDS, in-
ternational and/or development programs, or BS/BA in public
health or related field and 7-9 years relevant experience with
HIV/AIDS, international health and/or development programs.
HIV/AIDS program experience in Indonesia preferred. English and
Indonesian language skills preferred.

Senior Program Officer, ZPCT (Zambia)

As member of a program team, provides capacity building for
country office staff and system improvement/development for pro-
grams at country level. Main responsibilities include: Provide
mentorship in the design implementation, and evaluation activi-
ties to staff of FHI's ZPCT Partnership; Build capacity of coun-
try offices and implementing partners to manage programming, in-
cluding training; Provide ongoing programmatic, management, and
financial oversight required by projects and country offices;
Provide leadership in developing and implementing quality assur-
ance/quality improvement systems; Provide backup when Deputy Di-
rector is on travel; and Perform other duties as assigned. MS/MA
in public health, social science or related field, and 5-7 years
relevant experience with international development programs; or
BS/BA in social science, public health, management, or related
field, and 7-9 years relevant experience with international de-
velopment programs. Excellent spoken and written English skills
required.
