We are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
Senior Technical Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation (Bangkok, Thailand)
In collaboration with FHI/USA, provides leadership and capacity building in monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI) to FHI/s public health programs in the Asia Pacific Region.
BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS, infectious disease or family planning with international development programs; or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience; or PhD, MD or similar degree with 3 - 5 years relevant experience. Overseas field experience required.
Senior Technical Officer, HIV & IDU (Vietnam)
To provide and manage technical assistance in and ensure the quality of HIV and drug-use related HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment interventions and research in Vietnam and other countries in the Asia Pacific Region. Masters degree or equivalent experience in public health; and at least five years specialized experience in designing and/or providing technical assistance to HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs for injection drug using populations in resource-poor setting; at least two years senior management experience. Experience with U.S. government contractual requirements and experience working in an international NGO/PVO environment desirable. Experience must reflect knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
Associate Director, Programs, Mozambique
Under direction of Country/Project Director, provides leadership, management and technical expertise for FHI/Mozambique programs. Main responsibilities include: Ensure timely development and compliance of subagreements; Provide Technical Assistance to Implementing Partners (IPs); Undertake overall responsibility of the Capacity building and sustainability plan for IPs; Assist and coordinate in proposal writing;
Assist in program documentation including success stories and best practices dissemination; Assist in representation and external relations; Assist Country Director in the coordination and reporting with Home Office, Donors and GOM; Assist in Resource Development; and
Perform other related duties as assigned. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience with international development programs; or MS/MA in public health or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience with international development programs.
Overseas field experience required. Skills Required: Program design and management; Partner liaison, communications and coordination;
Supervisory and interpersonal communication skills; Strong writing skills and documentation skills; Strong capacity building skills; Strong mentoring and training/facilitation experience; Proven coordination experience; USAID experience.
Director, Shared Services (Abuja, Nigeria)
Manages all financial aspects of USAID/PEPFAR, DfID, GFATM and other funded projects in Nigeria; ensuring efficient oversight of all finance, administrative, contracts, grants and travel activities. Main# responsibilities include: Manages and reviews all financial and administrative functions; Ensures that project policies and procedures are consistent with FHI and donor regulations, including USAID/Nigeria policies and procedures; Coordinates the review of subcontracts, sub-agreements, and other obligations; Overseers purchasing of supplies and equipment for project operations; Responsible for overseeing finance functions and reporting by all field offices and project partners;
Participates in the development of the office budget and the budgets of project implementing partners (NGOs, research institutions, etc);
Manages project materials and equipments; Manages personnel; Conduct regular audits with project partners; Performs other duties as assigned by the Country Director. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related) and 11 to 13 years experience in project administration, finance and personnel management, or Master's degree in Business
Administration (or related field) and 9 to11 years experience. Experience with USAID regulations is strongly desired, as is PEPFAR
experience. Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Word, Excel, etc.
Deputy Chief of Party, GHAIN (Abuja, Nigeria)
Serves as the Deputy Chief of Party (COP) for the GHAIN project and, in close collaboration with the COP, provides management oversight and support for the GHAIN project. Main responsibilities include: Ensures that project resources are utilized in accordance with applicable FHI and USAID policies and procedures; Coordinates partner efforts in program implementation and ensures appropriate level of technical assistance from all sources to meet project objectives; Ensures appropriate monitoring of programs, projects, and subprojects to achieve financial, administrative and programmatic goals; Oversees production of timely and accurate financial and programmatic reports to USAID and FHI as required; Supervises Directors of GHAIN program and administrative divisions and State offices; and Performs other related duties as assigned.BS/BA in public health or related field, and 11-13 years relevant experience in international development programs with 5-7 years supervisory experience; or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 9 - 11 years relevant experience in international development programs, with 5-7 years supervisory experience; or PhD, MD or equivalent degree with 7 - 9 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning with international development programs and 5-7 years of supervisory experience. Overseas field experience required.
Associate Director, Southern Sudan
Responsible for managing HIV/AIDS programming in Southern Sudan under the international donor-funded ROADS Project. The position will be based in Juba but will report to the ROADS headquarters office in Nairobi.
Main responsibilities include: Act as liaison with relevant private and public agencies, organizations, National AIDS Control Program, USAID, and other donors regarding Southern Sudan programs and activities;
Manage the development of country plans, their periodic review and revision; Manage the design of subproject activities (including the preparation of budgets, implementation schedules, and evaluation criteria) and ensure the identification of appropriate consultants and staff to provide necessary technical and management assistance for the programs; Ensure appropriate monitoring of subprojects to achieve financial, administrative, and programmatic goals; Ensure that systems are in place so that each implementing agency fully complies with USAID and other donor regulations regarding implementation procedures, reporting and evaluation. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience with international development programs; or MS/MA in public health or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience with international development programs. Overseas field experience required.
