HIV/AIDS mainstreaming satellite session in Barcelona
-----------------------------------------------------
Aids 2002 in Barcelona
Oxfam International Satellite Session
Monday 8 July 18.00-20.00, Room 2:5
Mainstreaming: What is it on the ground?
Oxfam International would like to invite you to participate in a
lively discussion on 'Mainstreaming an HIV/AIDS Perspective' into:
1) Institutional/ organisational policies and practices and
2) Development programmes.
Mainstreaming has become a buzzword. By discussing case studies and
examples of practical experience, we hope to raise issues which chal-
lenge governments, donors, and civil society including NGOs. Gender
analysis is important to this debate. Your participation is essential
to have the debate and to plan next steps of learning and sharing to
improve organisational/institutional response to the HIV/AIDS pan-
demic.
Please let us know if you are interested in attending and if you like
further information.
The session is sponsored by Ireland Aid, STOP AIDS NOW, UNAIDS, and
Oxfam International.
Best wishes,
Mohga
