Limited Access Server (5)
-------------------------
Complaining about information deficiencies doesn't often help. People
working in the health and scientific fields in developing countries
know that the need for free access to current (and archival) biomedical
and scientific journals and information is great. Most have given up
trying to gain access, as journals get more expensive and libraries and
individuals stop buying them.
It could be that if Ron Laporte, who has been working on this project
for some time, were to send out, on all the health-related lists reach-
ing developing countries, a request for statements or affirmations of
need from those who want better access, they might respond? That and/or
a letter to the BMA could provide some useful and persuasive reactions.
