Limited Access Server (2)
-------------------------
Friends,
We are pleased as to how many people have been interested in the lim-
ited access server. It would be wonderful if we in public health could
take the lead. We have had several people who were going to contact the
American Journal of Public Health and the American Journal of Epidemi-
ology so that they would open up their journals to developing countries
as JAMA, the Lancet, the Journal of Neurology and potentially the Na-
ture Journals plan to do. It costs the journals nothing, it opens a po-
tential emerging market and it is humanitarian. If you know of people
on the other epidemiology and public health journals, please let us
know if you could contact them.
The journals fear that this will cost them either in terms of subscrip-
tions or time... but the reality is... how many subscriptions of AJE
are there in Rwanda? So, why not open our Epidemiology and Public
Health journals to the countries, which need the information the most?
