[afro-nets] Looking back at 2005

Looking back at 2005
--------------------

Dear Afro-netters,

This has been a very vigorous and stimulating year on this forum
and I have learnt plenty from all of you that contributed. To
me, this forum has not only presented me with an opportunity to
interact with professionals from my field - Public Health, it
has also enabled me to join in healthy debate and exchanges with
professionals from economics, social science, the life sciences
and so much more. I agree that egos have been bruised along the
way, but I believe this has been for the common good of all.

I urge all members of this great forum to learn as much as pos-
sible from postings and shape your views in an informed way,
knowing that there is still a lot to learn out there. Congratu-
lations to the moderators too for their good work, despite the
obvious challenges.

At this juncture, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas
and happy returns for the New Year 2006

Looking back at 2005 (2)
------------------------

Thank you Phillip. I certainly concur with you that the forum
has been vigorous and stimulating to most of us, and added
greatly to the whole purpose of the network. It has also drawn
people closer from different fields, and even made more diffi-
dent ones (like me), bolder!

I wish to join you in congratulating the moderator and col-
leagues for a job well done. Finally, during this festive sea-
son, I would also like to convey my personal best wishes to all
for a most prosperous New Year.

God bless you all!
