New Research Examines Secondary Abstinence among Youth
------------------------------------------------------

Two New PSI Working Papers Examine Secondary Abstinence and Sex-
ual Behavior in Youth from Cameroon, Madagascar and Tanzania

A new PSI Working Paper from uses data from the 2003 Cameroon
and 2002 Madagascar Adolescent Reproductive Health Surveys to
identify the impact of individual-level and community-level fac-
tors that contributed to secondary abstinence. Another new PSI
Working Paper uses data from the 2003 Tanzania Trust Survey to
determine the extent to which trust in one's partner can explain
a lack of protective sexual behavior.
