Request for Profiles - Workplace HIV/AIDS Trainers

An International NGO is seeking a partner organisation, on con-
sultancy basis to roll out HIV/AIDS training to its entire staff
in East and Central Africa. The region covers 12 countries: Bu-
rundi, Djibouti, DR Congo, Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia,
Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda in which a
total of 2,690 World Food Programme Staff are to be trained. The
African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) is bidding for
this assignment as an agency and due to the magnitude of the as-
signment and the fact that AMREF in not operating in all the
countries stated, AMREF is seeking for partnership with other in-
terested agencies and (or) individuals as trainers in this pro-
ject. The purpose of writing to you is to request you that if
you know of any persons/organizations who have expertise in
HIV/AIDS especially Workplace programmes and fit the description
below to send in their applications and CVs stipulating their
experience to the e-mail addresses provided not later than
Wednesday 18th August 2004.

Description

* Excellent communication and human relation skills;
* Have very good training and facilitation skills;
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team and willingness, avail-
   ability and physical stamina to travel extensively for a 3 month
   period, often in rudimentary condition to deliver the HAWP pro-
   gram;
* Several years of experience in delivering HIV/AIDS in the
   workplace;
* Have fluency and capacity to train in the respective languages
   in which the trainings will require to be delivered in this case
   English, Arabic and French respectively;
* The trainers should be local trainers from within the 12 coun-
   tries of operation (as stated above).
