RFI: HIV infection through sex

I am writing an article on the current knowledge of the actual mecha-
nisms involved in the infection with the HIV through sexual inter-
course. I have consulted many publications on this subject, but there
seems not to be a clear information on how the virus is passed from
either of the sexes to the other during sex. I would be most grateful
if you could assist with a summary of how the virus infects sexual
partners. Please quote relevant literature if it is available.
