RFI: Insecticide Treated Bednets & long-term caution
----------------------------------------------------

Dear Colleagues,

Regarding insecticide treated bednets (ITNs), can anyone direct me to
any recent (1995-2000) publications/studies, or current trials which
are trying to shed any light on the following:

1) effect of the use of ITNs on vector-biting patterns in the long-
   term;

2) resistance to the pyrethroids used in the ITNs themselves;

3) whether the protection from bites (with effective use of an ITN)
   impairs personal immunity?

Any responses gratefully received at <s_collens@hotmail.com>

With many thanks,

Stephen R. Collens, M.H.Sc.
