Dear Afro-nets members,
I am looking for Guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures for service providers in the health sector on providing immediate medical response to victims of child abuse including those experiencing sexual violence.
Please send me a version used in your country or online linkage to where I can get this information. Although not limited to West Africa, I will appreciate some from Anglophone West Africa. My email is georgekivumbi@yahoo.com
Thanks for your usual support

Hi George,
A former Masters student from Kenya has conducted research in this area and is furthering her work through a PhD. We, along with other colleagues, are in the process of submitting a manuscript based on her work. Here are two references that might be of use (and look through their references as well):
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2704033/pdf/08-052340.pdf (look at figure1)
http://www.popcouncil.org/uploads/pdfs/2012RH_APHIAII_IntimatePartnerViol.pdf
She should be able to share Kenya's procedures with you (thanks Cynthia!)
Hope this helps! Good luck!
Viva
