I work with an organisation in rural northern Nigeria, and I can con-
firm that no one else in our team in Nigeria, or in the neighbouring
Government and Missionary health centres have heard of, never mind have
access to the Internet. The nearest commercial e-mail service providers
are about 70 miles from our station, and their charges are not easily
affordable. My organisation's access (and others in similar location as
us) to internet information is solely through whatever I can download
while in the UK and send by airmail or hand-delivery to them.
Any development in this area will be most welcome as we are in dire
need of updated healthcare information. An Internet access of once or
twice a month will be a remarkable step forward for us.
