Stakeholder politics of health sector reform: Tanzanian and Ugandan short-term researchers sought
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Overseas Development Institute, London, has been commissioned by the Advisory Board of Irish Aid to undertake a study entitled Good Governance, Aid Modalities and Poverty Reduction Linkages to the MDGs and implications for Development Cooperation Ireland. One of the studys work-packages is concerned with Understanding and influencing the political-economy of sector-level reform and the implications for choosing aid modalities. Two components of the work involve developing short case studies in Tanzania and Uganda.
ODI is looking for research-consultants who have good insider knowledge of the political discussions between and among donors and between donors and government on the stakeholder politics involved in health sector reform. Ideally, the researchers would be able to free up 10 days of time some time after November 20th for five days of intensive work with an ODI staff member and another five days on a more part time basis before and after the ODI staff member field visit.
