Supercourse Newsletter, Dec 15 - Supercourse CD-ROM
---------------------------------------------------

Supercourse: http://www.pitt.edu/~super1/

Dear Friends,

Today we received the 1600 CDs of the Supercourse, and they work
beautifully. We wish to thank all those who contributed lectures as
it is you who deserve the credit for the CD.

We will be packaging the CDs next week, and then sending these out
throughout the world. We are pleased to be able to share these with
you and others.

If those of you in the US do not receive the CDs by Jan. 1, or out
side the US by Feb. 1, please let us know. We did not send CDs to
people who did not verify their addresses.

There are two major conditions in our sending the CDs to you. The
first is that we ask you to install the lectures onto your computer
as well as any computer you see. Secondly and most importantly, we
want you to provide the Supercourse to your friends, and especially
your students.

We are afraid that we will not be able to meet the demand; since the
last newsletter there have been 200 more people requesting the CDs.
As we run out of CDs we will request that you and others share your
CD with others in your country.

When you lend/give the CD to others, please tell them to send us a
note at <super6@pitt.edu>. There are several reasons for this. The
first is that we will be continuing to update the Supercourse. We
want to send out new lectures. A second reason is that we want to ex-
tend the global network of those of us interested in I-Prevention. A
third is that it will be most fascinating to see the diffusion of the
Supercourse onto many of the computers of the world.

We very much want your feedback as this is the first time we have de-
veloped a CD. We feel like we are in the "record" business... The
"Supercourse" Blues Brothers and Sisters. We want to know from you
how it can be improved, as well as how we can reach more people. What
we are doing is quite new for public health, therefore we need feed-
back from you. Our major focus this year has been the collection of
lectures, this will continue, but we want to make the approach easier
to use.

We do not ask anything in return... However.... a real nice present
this time of year would be a lecture for fellow researchers across
the world. Almost 300 now have contributed lectures for you to use.
We would love to have one from you.

Thank you so much.

We wish you a happy, and healthy holiday season. It has been a fun
year working with all of you. It is great to see those in prevention
from around the world to join together, to help each other.

Best regards, and Seasons Greetings

Ron, Akira, Eun Ryoung, Benjamin, Eugene, Faina, Fan, Geoff, Beatriz,
Tom, and Deb
