tb.net 2000 - Conference on Power, Poverty and TB
-------------------------------------------------

23-25 February, 2000
Kathmandu, Nepal

Poverty and TB coexist in a vicious reinforcing circle - poor individu-
als, poor communities and poor countries have the highest rates of TB,
and TB impoverishes those with the disease. Inequity breeds ill health.
Unjust power structures in society create marginalised communities of
the poor. Power, poverty and TB - how can we break the chain?

tb.net 2000 will be held in Kathmandu Nepal from 23-25th February 2000.
In this cutting edge conference we will explore issues of Power, Pov-
erty and TB through presentations, debates, and workshops.

Please join us for this vitally important conference. Participate in a
debate on 'Debt and TB: Is the World Bank good for TB control?' Discuss
presentations on 'TB and Equity', 'Health Sector Reform and TB Con-
trol', and 'TB in the Private Sector'. Develop practical skills in
workshops on Networking and Resource Mobilization. Visit TB programmes
in the Kathmandu valley.

We are limiting the conference to 120 participants, so book early! The
registration fee is US $50.
