The brain drain (11)
--------------------

Dear all,

I hope you do not look upon all foreign workers in developing coun-
tries unfavourably and as displacing indigenous talent. Shortly, I
shall begin a 2-year posting as a health economist within the health
ministry of an Africa nation. This demand came from the permanent
secretary. I have given up a fairly lucrative career in banking to
meet an area of great concern to me. I agree indigenous capacity
building is vital for long term. In the short term, however, skill
sharing should not be discouraged.

Best wishes in your area,

Kind regards,
Kenny Lawson
