Please find the final version of the UNAIDS Secretariat Strategy
Note and Action Framework on Mainstreaming AIDS in development

The framework builds on and complements the numerous existing
efforts developed by different agencies, incl. the GTZ, by
focusing on strengthening adequate and coordinated technical
support to mainstreaming processes in partner countries. The
following initial activities are in various stages of
preparation:
* Following the round table which UNAIDS and GTZ co-hosted at
the Bangkok IAC, a "Consensus Paper for Joint Action" is being
developed as an advocacy tool to promote support to
mainstreaming HIV/AIDS in partner countries.
* An assessment of existing resources for technical support
(including expertise) to mainstreaming AIDS in PRSP/HIPC
processes and national development plans is being prepared, in
order to make the information about adequate resources
accessible to country partners, as well as to determine which
additional ones need to be developed.
* Similarly, an assessment of existing resources for technical
support (including expertise) to mainstreaming AIDS at the
sectoral and local level is being undertaken, in order to make
them accessible to country partners, as well as to determine and
address the need for additional al resources.
