E-drug: Adm organisation of universities of medicin and pharmacy
----------------------------------------------------------

A member of ReMeD (a french network for drugs and developpement) wants to
know if Universities for medicin and pharmacy are subordinated to Ministry
of Education or to Ministry of Health?
In francophones countries (France Senegal, Ivory Coast and Gabon), they are
subordinated to Ministery of Education.
What about Canada, Germany, England, Japan, USA and Denmark? As far as
your country is concerned, what is the situation ?

Thank you for your answers,

Carinne Bruneton

[Note from moderator: I think in most countries it is the cresponsibility of
MOE, at least it is so in Norway and Botswana which are the two countries I
know best. For Botswana it was, when I worked there, a problem that MOH were
not informed about the number of students studying abroad and was always
taken by surprise when they returned to do their internship! Kirsten Myhr]
