E-DRUG: Azerbaijan & Nigeria publish their Pharmaceutical Sector Country Profile

The Ministries of Health of Azerbaijan and Nigeria have just produced a
Pharmaceutical Sector Country Profile that provides important data on
structures, processes and outcomes of the pharmaceutical sector in the
country.
The profiles can be accessed on-line at:

The aim of the Pharmaceutical Country Profile Project is to:
1) Collect relevant information about the pharmaceutical sector using
questionnaires
2) Make this information publicly available in a user-friendly format
that is standardized for all participating countries.
The Pharmaceutical Country Profile Questionnaire has been agreed upon by
WHO and by the Global Fund to fight TB, HIV/AIDS and Malaria (GF). The
Global Fund will use the profile as part of the assessment conducted
prior to grant signature.
Currently, WHO and GF are working together to support 75 priority
countries in developing their Pharmaceutical Sector Country Profiles.
Around 40 countries have completed the questionnaire and 9 profiles are
already available on the WHO web site.
