Dear Richard and other E-drug subscribers,
I had the Time article faxed from a German journalist today and I
agree that it is worth reading. [see Time Magazine, 29 April 1996,
p.33 - moderator]. I would like to mention that I have
an article written by a Norwegian journalist on donations to Mostar.
It is written in Norwegian but I have an English translation.
His pictures show that Mostar received the same Eli Lilly drug as
Rwanda in huge quantities. In fact they received in all 340 ton of
useless donations including antibiotics for children which expired in
1962! There is also a picture of the letter the mayor sent to the
European Union complaining about the donation and the problem they
now have due to lack of incinerator.
I should be happy to send the article to anyone interested.

[addition from the E-drug moderator:]
Dear E-druggers,
WHO/DAP also published its revised guidelines on drug donations on 30 April.
They will soon be available from their WWW server, I was told.
I will inform you when they do, and try to make the guidelines available as a
retrievable text file.
