E-DRUG: Donations

Dear Friends:

Colleagues here at the Harvard School of Public Health are organizing a
follow-up study of women with HIV in Dar es Salaam. They would like to
be able to offer a variety of basic therapies as an adjunct to the
research, but do not have funds to purchase medications.

Are there any central charitable organizations, perhaps related to
the manufacturers, that offer drug supplies? I have heard that
manufacturers do donate to such groups, but I am not sure where
to start.

I have been following the discussion on dumping of pharmaceuticals,
and I am hoping that appropriate condemnations of illegitimate
practices have not discouraged genuine charitable giving as well.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,
