E-DRUG: drug promotion and (ir)rational prescribing

I recieved the input of Beverly Snell (bev@mbcmr.unimelb.edu.au).
I would like to know whether anybody has some experience on how
the stardard treatment guidelines may be undermined by drug
promotion especially in a tertiary teaching hospital. I am
writing a paper on the effects of drug promotion on rational
prescribing in Kenya. I agree with most of the points brought
out by Beverley Snell, though she did not touch on hospitals. I
would be willing to get some information on this topic from
the experience of other edrug users.
