E-DRUG: Drugs removed from the Canadian market
------------------------------------------
The current issue of the CMAJ has my Commentary that looks at drugs that
have been removed from the Canadian market for safety reasons between 1963
and May 2004. The article then goes on to do a preliminary analysis of the
drugs on the list and explores the problems with Canada's current
postmarketing surveillance system. The article can be downloaded for free
from the CMAJ at <www.cmaj.ca>. There is also an on-line Appendix with the
article that has the actual list of drugs along with some details about
them.
