E-drug: Effectiveness of Generics compared to brands (cont'd)

Dear all,
Who is giving a guarantee for the bioequivalence of innovators drug in
different countries. Tegretol (carbamazepine) is a good example. Brand name
carbamazepines (TEGRETOLs) manufactures in different countries were not
bioequivalent. This is an important issue for parallel import and scientific
point of view. Turkish Ministry of Health is forcing generic companies to
proof their bioequivalence. But they are not asking any bioequivalence study
from innovator companies for their Turkish manufactured drugs. Ironically,
local companies manufacturing same drug both for themselves and for
innovators. Is there any other country like this?
