E-drug: Brand vs. generic cost and effectiveness (cont'd)
---------------------------------------------
Dr Tulany made two very interesting observations.
1. Bioequivalence studies not being mandatory for brands.
2. Same local manufacturer producing generic as well as innovator's brand.
Dear Friends, though they are lot of interesting discussions taking place,
by purpose is not yet served. Are there any factual (published
information) comparing the generic and brand produced by the manufacturer.
I request any body having access to such information, make it more widely
available.
Thanks,

[An effective Drug Regulatory Authority (DRA) is important to protect
the members of public from dangerous and inappropriate drugs and drug
use. They do this by applying standards to the manufacture, import,
export, distribution, supply and sale of pharmaceutical products.
Through registration of manufacturers and their products, all aspects
of quality can be specified and controlled, whether the drugs are
innovator brands or generics. BS]
