E-DRUG: Free Online Encyclopaedia of Politics of Medicines

Dear E-Druggers,
Health Action International launches a free online encyclopaedia of the
politics of medicines. www.politicsofmedicines.org
To address the need for a consistent source of knowledge on the politics
of medicine, HAI has developed an encyclopaedia in the form of a
Politics of Medicines' website which holds essays on different issues
concerning medicines, written by experts in their field.
The encyclopaedia, also known as the A-Z project, is not yet complete,
but will build over the coming weeks, months and years into a
comprehensive guide to all aspects of medicines policy, access to
medicines and their rational use. This exciting project will be an
invaluable resource for students, scholars, experts, policy makers and
activists globally. Within its pages you will find room for comments on
the articles, suggestions for further reading and biographies of the
authors. It will become a living compendium of contemporary thinking on
medicines, linked to gold standard collections, such as those held by
the World Health Organization. Over the coming weeks we will also
strengthen the links to resources that are freely available on the net.
One of the great things is the A-Z's flexibility; after all, the complex
world of medicines is surely not static, so neither should be an
encyclopaedia on this topic.
